For example when you need to measure the temperature of water THROUGH A PIECE OF COPPER pipe to trigger either a pump or zone valve OR YOUR INDOOR GAS FURNACE. The temperature range of this aquastat is 65deg F-200deg F and the differential is IS ADJUSTABLE FROM 5-30 DEG.
